Overview TRC Companies is hiring now for a CAD Designer with 5-7 years of relevant experience to work from our office in Hyderabad, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for work related to substation engineering and consulting services for clients across the US, will also have other responsibilities including creating electrical protection & control and/or physical layout design deliverables. Projects range in size, complexity, and voltage class from small distribution equipment upgrades to large transmission projects Responsibilities Using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong sense of attention to detail, the CAD Designer modifies and creates design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer. Assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects including the collection of field data through site visits as well as scanning and print production to project specifications. Essential Functions Of Position - Create, edit and modify CAD drawings including construction details and design plans from notes, descriptions, sketches or photos. - Apply standard drafting practices and procedures. - Self-check all work. Take pride and ownership with a high degree of attention to details. - Collaborate in a team environment - Maintain drawing records by accurately entering and maintaining Document Management information such drawing titles, revisions and versions - Maintain and apply a working knowledge of TRC and client CAD standards - Scanning - Printing drawings to project specifications - Occasional overtime to meet project deadlines. - Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor Qualifications - Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation within Substation practice. - Bachelor's Degree with Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience. - Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player - Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities. - Willingness to learn and grow. - Familiar with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office EEO Statement TRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
