Job Description The role combines Mainframe development and IT business analysis responsibilities, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications while supporting business requirements and process improvements. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IMS DB/DC. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for mainframe solutions. - Support integration of mainframe systems with modern applications via MQ or RESTful APIs using zOS Connect. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical and data-related issues in mainframe environments. - Participate in design, code review, and testing activities to ensure high-quality delivery. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and support Agile delivery. - Ensure adherence to best practices in mainframe development, security, and deployment. - Provide guidance on process improvements and system optimization for mainframe applications. Preferred Candidate Profile - 814 years of experience in mainframe development and IT business analysis. - Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IMS DB/DC. - Knowledge of scaled Agile methodologies is a plus. - Experience with MQ, RESTful API integration, OPC, IBM TWS, or RDz is advantageous. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
