Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SR Purchase Manager with a strong background in New Product Development (NPD) and New Vendor Development (NVD). The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Engineering or Furniture industry and will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement processes, identifying new vendors, and contributing to product innovation. This role requires a strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally, maintain supplier relationships, and develop sourcing strategies for new product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

- New Vendor Development:
- Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a diverse and competitive vendor base.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with new and existing suppliers.
- Establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.
- New Product Development (NPD):
- Collaborate with the product development team to source materials, components, and services for new products.
- Ensure that all product requirements (e.g., quality, cost, lead time) are met by selected vendors.
- Manage procurement timelines to ensure new products are launched on schedule.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Conduct market research to identify new trends, technologies, and suppliers that can add value to the product development process.
- Analyze costs, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure the company receives the best value for purchased goods and services.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials for production.
- Ensure effective and efficient stock management practices, preventing delays in production.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all procurement processes adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance, procurement activities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) and New Vendor Development (NVD) within the Engineering or Furniture industry.
- Strong knowledge of the procurement process, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and production departments.
