This role is for one of Weekday s clients Min Experience 5 years Location Bangalore Hyderabad JobType full-time Requirements We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable backend services using Java Microservices architecture and Kafka along with exposure to front-end frameworks Angular React to collaborate effectively on end-to-end product development Key Responsibilities Design develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot Build and deploy microservices for high-performance distributed systems Implement event-driven architectures and real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka Design and integrate secure efficient RESTful APIs and Java-based APIs Collaborate with front-end teams working in Angular React to deliver seamless user experiences Write clean testable and maintainable code following best practices Participate in code reviews debugging and performance optimization Contribute to architecture discussions and propose innovative solutions Work with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI CD pipelines and deployment Required Skills Qualifications Strong proficiency in Java Java 8 and Spring Boot framework Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and service orchestration Proficiency with Apache Kafka for event-driven and streaming applications Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs Familiarity with Angular or React for front-end collaboration Good knowledge of SQL NoSQL databases e g MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB Understanding of containerization and orchestration Docker Kubernetes Strong problem-solving skills debugging and performance optimization expertise Solid understanding of software engineering best practices Agile TDD CI CD Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms AWS Azure or GCP Knowledge of API security standards OAuth2 JWT Exposure to message brokers other than Kafka e g RabbitMQ Experience with monitoring tools ELK Prometheus Grafana
