Our customer is looking for a seasoned NodeJS SDE-2 to design and scale robust backend systems that power high-performance, reliable, and scalable applications. What you need: - 5+ years of hands-on experience building scalable backend systems using Node.js., JavaScript and TypeScript. - Strong understanding of Express.js, Koa, or similar frameworks to create high-traffic, resilient applications. - Proven experience designing and deploying microservices in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. - Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration tools. - Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs, and exposure to Apollo Federation is an advantage. - Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or Splunk. - Passion for writing clean, modular, and maintainable code, with exposure to Agile and DevOps practices. What you would do here: - Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and cloud-native technologies. - Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. - Apply TDD/BDD principles to deliver high-quality, test-driven features and maintain code reliability. - Automate and optimise workflows, ensuring systems are secure, observable, and scalable. - Diagnose and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis and continuous improvement. - Contribute to code reviews, refactoring, and knowledge sharing within the engineering community. - Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices across development, testing, and deployment.
