Company Description Turner Townsend is a global professional services company with over 22 000 people in more than 60 countries Working with our clients across real estate infrastructure energy and natural resources we transform together delivering outcomes that improve people s lives Working in partnership makes it possible to deliver the world s most impactful projects and programs as we turn challenge into opportunity and complexity into success Our capabilities include program project cost asset and commercial management controls and performance procurement and supply chain net zero and digital solutions We are majority-owned by CBRE Group Inc the world s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm with our partners holding a significant minority interest Turner Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier program project and cost management offering in markets around the world Please visit our website www turnerandtownsend com Main purpose of position The Senior Cost Manager will be responsible to implement the T T way of service delivery on the project and managing the project budget throughout the design development procurement and construction progress He will collaboratively work with Project Director and Other team members to deliver all C I related cost management deliverables Responsibilities Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports Managing to estimate and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting C I cost plans at various design stages Applying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project and where appropriate involving Turner Townsend s specialist Value Management team Managing the procurement process ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification enquiry analysis selection and contract preparation are performed effectively Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client Value engineering and life cycle costing Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages Where appropriate leading a cost management team ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities Staff management where appropriate - Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Cost Manager or small cost management team to include 1st round recruitment interviews input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals Skills Required Technical knowledge of industrial commercial projects for a period of 11 years for CM QS Prior experience of handling fit out projects is required and Candidates with Commercial project exposure could be prioritized preferably should know background working on CostX Good knowledge of all methods of construction and procurement Experienced with or managing team that uses multiple estimating tools and applications Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases A collaborative approach able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally Good organization skills with the ability to multi-task Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills Proven cost and or commercial management experience ideally within a consultancy environment LI-TA1 Qualifications Education - B E B Tech B Arch - Civil Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant field would be an added advantage You should have relevant experience of working for a construction consultancy in India be degree educated in a relevant construction subject and have good technical skills 11 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role Excellent verbal and written English communication skills LI-TA1 Additional Information Join our social media conversations for more information about Turner Townsend and our exciting future projects Twitter Instagram LinkedIn It is strictly against Turner Townsend policy for candidates to pay any fee in relation to our recruitment process No recruitment agency working with Turner Townsend will ask candidates to pay a fee at any time Any unsolicited resumes CVs submitted through our website or to Turner Townsend personal e-mail accounts are considered property of Turner Townsend and are not subject to payment of agency fees In order to be an authorised Recruitment Agency Search Firm for Turner Townsend there must be a formal written agreement in place and the agency must be invited by the Recruitment Team to submit candidates for review
