Qualifications: CA, LLB, LLM, or CS Experience: 3–5 years(post qualification) Type: Full-Time | Contractual Role Overview: We are looking for an early-career professional in Legal journalism, reporting, tax research, writing, and analysis to join our Indirect Tax team. You will support the GST function by drafting high-quality law reports on judgments, notifications, and court proceedings, backed by thorough research and interpretation. This role offers hands-on exposure and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in indirect tax. Key Responsibilities: - Write concise headnotes, tax news reports by interpreting and summarizing case laws, legislative and policy changes. - Attend court virtual or physical (wherever possible) court hearings, and prepare a precision news report. - Interpret and summarize legislative and policy changes - Prepare concise and accurate summaries and reports within deadlines. - Maintain and regularly update tax databases and content repositories Skills & Attributes: - Basic knowledge of GST, Customs, Service Tax, Excise, VAT, Sales Tax etc - Strong research and analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication in English - High attention to detail and accuracy - Proactive and responsible, with the ability to handle urgent tasks - Eager to learn and grow in the field of indirect tax About Taxsutra: Founded in 2011, Taxsutra operates leading digital platforms in the tax, accounting, and legal space.
