Job description Some careers shine brighter than others If you re looking for a career that will help you stand out join HSBC and fulfil your potential Whether you want a career that could take you to the top or simply take you in an exciting new direction HSBC offers opportunities support and rewards that will take you further HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world with operations in 64 countries and territories We aim to be where the growth is enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist In this role you will Champion in Agile testing principles and practices in the team Provide Quality and Testing related input during Inception phase Collaborate with the team and be responsible for preventing defects Propose test strategy options that address the quality needs of the product and lead the team in modifying the testing strategy over the course of the project Include in the test strategy the testing scope of the project responsibilities environments required testing approach tools testing schedule reporting and resource requirements Ensure test automation remains valuable as a feedback mechanism and guides team to optimize for speed robustness and coverage Support the Product Owner and Business Analyst in the definition of acceptance criteria and refinement of scope Learn about the product and provide this information to the rest of the team through collaboration Collaborate with Developers to create acceptance tests on the basis of defined acceptance criteria Prioritize test efforts taking into account the operational and technical risks Facilitate triaging of defects at appropriate frequency Collaborate with the developers and Business Analyst to sign off user stories Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements Should have 8 years of experience Must have experience with Functional Testing JAVA API testing Cron jobs Testing preferred experience in Regulatory relevant applications e g FATCA and CRS Must be good at SQL queries and good to have knowledge in Mongo database Must have experience in Postman Insomnia and automation tool Selenium with Java Good to have knowledge of Kubernetes Platform Defect tracking and closure with all stake holders should have experience in JIRA Should be having very good written verbal communication skills Experience working in Agile or knowledge of the key principles of the methodology Self-starter who can work pro-actively with minimum supervision You ll achieve more when you join HSBC www hsbc com careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued respected and opinions count We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment Personal data held by the Bank relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement which is available on our website Issued by - HSBC Software Development India
