Job Description

Role summary: You will mainly be dealing with 6DOF EOMS for ballistic flying bodies, generating aerodynamic databases and collaborating with the controls team.

Qualifications:Anyone with aBachelor&aposs, Master&aposs, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related field (or a drop out for all that matters)

Experience: 0-3 years

What Youll Do:

- Develop high fidelity 6DOF models for ballistic projectiles. Experience with modern exterior ballistics is preferred and that with reference frames, rotations and transformations, and classical mechanics is needed.
- Generate and curate aerodynamic databases.Run or supervise steady / unsteady CFD cases (Fluent, OpenFOAM) to obtain force-and moment coefficients across Mach, , , and control-surface schedules - calculation of stability derivatives is a required skill.
- Write scripts to launch batch run these simulations, post-process results, and auto-generate plots/metrics
- Coordinate control law design with the GNC team.
- Document assumptions, derivations, and findings in tight, visually lean reports; present progress in weekly stand-ups and keep a living wiki maintained for knowledge transfer.
