Skill set for a Hosted .NET and Java Application Administrator role.

- Windows Server administration (for .NET hosting)
- Linux administration (for Java hosting)

- SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL basics
- Backup/restore, connection pooling, tuning

- Deployment & Configuration Management
- Monitoring & Performance Management

- Tools
- Log analysis and troubleshooting
- JVM & CLR performance tuning

- Security & Compliance

- SSL/TLS certificate management
- Application firewall (WAF) concepts
- Patching and vulnerability management
- Access control and least privilege enforcement

- Networking & Load Balancing

- Load balancing strategies for web apps

Administrative & Soft Skills

- Incident & Problem Management

- Root cause analysis (RCA)
- Handling outages and escalations

- Release & Change Management

- Coordinating deployments with Dev/QA teams
