Senior Manager- Software Defined Vehicle

Purpose of the Role This position is responsible for Management of safety requirements Implement Functional safety according to safety plan and strive for continuous improvement in the adherence of safety process This position is critical for meeting global standard guideline for functional safety ISO 26262 and meeting the timeline of EV powertrain software defined vehicle projects Job Responsibilities Perform HARA analysis derive safety goals and requirements based on system architecture operational scenarios and potential hazards Develop safety concepts and safety mechanisms to achieve required ASIL levels for HPC platforms service-oriented middleware applications features and services Support and provide inputs for development of service-oriented middleware features and services to ensure functional safety compliance of all middleware components application features and services Implement functional safety mechanisms in service-oriented middleware features and services and validate safety-critical functionalities against failures Recommendation and implementation of relevant functional safety mechanisms Shall be responsible for developing V V plan for robust testing of safety measures implemented for HPC Shall be responsible for defining safety testing scope goals methods and robust test cases perform testing and provide testing reports Ensure adherence of security to ISO 26262 Maintain the safety plan work products on many features within the BU simultaneously Responsible for implementation of FS activities in the development phases of the safety lifecycle Ability to work on many features within the BU simultaneously Update the CoCs BU-Department Heads FSM on the Program schedule actions taken Escalate major risk issues that needs immediate corrective action by the senior management Support to supplier audits Desired Candidate Profile Candidate can be Bachelor or Master in Electronics Electrical Engineering with minimum 4-9 years of experience in functional safety Thorough understanding of the safety lifecycle Practical experience on 2-3 different modules like BMS Motor Control Powertrain etc Preferable to have experience in functional safety for SDV Trained on ISO 26262 Experience in HARA and safety integrity level SIL determination derive safety goals and requirements based on system architecture operational scenarios and potential hazards Develop safety concepts and safety mechanisms to achieve required ASIL levels Deep understanding and experience of relevant function safety mechanisms Experience in safety architecture design verification and validation of safety-critical systems Experience in handling safety critical projects Must have understanding and experience with embedded system design development testing of software and system architectures Embedded controller and microprocessors and its architectures RTOS understanding of lockstep cores Must have understanding of service-oriented middleware its software components BSP POSIX based OS Linux OS concepts like hypervisor and containerization to derive ASIL safety goals and safety mechanism in the given context Understanding of hardware development process hardware components knowledge of hardware failures and causes to determine safety goals and requirements Knowledge of software defined vehicles Domain knowledge of Automotive domain Electric vehicle and its aggregates Electronics with Embedded domain Knowledge on RCA 8D processes is an added advantage Competencies Desired Level As per Competency Framework EV Powertrain Embedded Software Design Development- Desired Level- 3 EV PT Embedded systems and software Architect- Desired Level- 3 EV Powertrain Controller Hardware Design Development - Desired Level- 1 EV Powertrain System Engineering - Desired Level- 2 Vehicle Virtualizations including Plant Modelling and XiL testing - Desired Level- 2 Functional Safety - Desired Level-2 In vehicle Network Design including UDS OTA Cyber Security - Desired Level-2 EV Powertrain Controllers Application Software Design Development - Desired Level- 2
