Job Description Job Purpose UltraTech Cement Ltd. is the largest manufacturer of grey cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and white cement in India. It is also one of the leading cement producers globally. The major challenges in this portfolio will be close monitoring project improvement activities and also eporting deviations then and there. The position holder has to undertake extensive travelling covering the unit locations and monitor performance. Job Context & Major Challenges With a vision of increasing the cement capacity upto 115 t0 160 MTPA, Central Project Cell is established in 2010 with a clear focus on optimising Project cost & time with emphasis on Safety. Project Cell is having In House capabilities to build a cement plant & Captive Power Plant/ Modernisation of plants / Efficiency improvements through innovative projects. The Team in Project cell is consisting of Intellectuals, Subject Matter Experts and designers. To maintain our market leadership & cost competitiveness it is important to continuously modernize by implementing innovative ideas in existing units, execution of new projects and acquisition. Project Cell is playing a vital role for achieving this objective. This will entail an investment of INR 20,000 crores over a span of 3-4 years and concurrent execution of multiple projects. Currently projects is getting completed at almost 25 different location and further execution at 12 locations has started. This position is a part of the Project Management and Procurement department and is responsible/accountable for Project Monitoring which involves: - Preparation of Schedule and updating schedule on regular basis for Integrated projects or Grinding unit projects. - Analysis of Delays and making catchup plans - Making different reports for managements - Coordination between all stakholders for various requirements and updates. Major Challenges - Job requires dealing with multiple site day in day out - Multiple Site visit for updating schedules. Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters) KRA1 1. Preparation of Schedule and Analysis of slippage - Responsible for the generation of work breakdown structure for projects in primavera. Updating schedule on regular basis for Integrated projects or Grinding unit projects - Updating the schedule on fortnightly basis - Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole, analyse deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions. - Coordinating with plant team and helping them to make catch up plan - Independently handling the complete planning activities related to engineering, procurement & site execution. - Visiting site on frequent basis for collaboration and updating of schedule and coordination with contractor and site team. KRA2 2. To collate MIS of all projects - Coordinating with all projects site for DPR MPR and other reports - Generation of different MIS and Publishing Fortnightly and Monthly and daily progress reports, Critical path reports, Areas of concern, and look-ahead schedule. - Preparing constraints reports, resources reports, KPIs, S-curve, resource histogram, etc. - Collaborate with HOD's, Site engineers, Consultants, Contractors or Vendors etc. to review project status very frequently. - Follow-up Meetings regarding weekly and monthly progress with client & contractors KRA3 3. Engineering Review - Review of Engineering drawings from constructability point of view, Extracting scope of work and preparation of BOQ from engineering drawings - Coordinating with engineering team and arranging drawings for site team on requirement basis.
