This role is for one of Weekday s clients Min Experience 4 years Location Mumbai JobType full-timeRequirements About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and proactive Java Developer with hands-on experience in Spring Boot Microservices and AWS to join our growing engineering team As a key contributor you will be responsible for designing building and maintaining scalable backend services that are central to our platform You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance applications that support business goals and provide exceptional user experiences This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where your contributions will directly impact product success and customer satisfaction Key Responsibilities Develop and Maintain APIs Design develop test and deploy secure and scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot frameworks Microservices Architecture Implement and manage distributed microservices systems ensuring optimal performance and maintainability Cloud Integration Leverage AWS services such as EC2 S3 Lambda RDS API Gateway etc to build cloud-native applications with high availability and reliability Collaborate Across Teams Work closely with frontend developers DevOps QA and product managers to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of features Code Quality Best Practices Write clean modular and well-documented code while adhering to industry best practices including code reviews and unit testing Troubleshooting Debugging Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks across the stack ensuring smooth operation of backend services Continuous Improvement Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and cloud computing to continuously enhance the platform Technical Skills Required 4 years of experience in Java development with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles Proficient in using Spring Boot for building backend services and APIs Solid experience with microservices architecture including service registration discovery and inter-service communication Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services Familiarity with deployment monitoring and scaling applications on AWS Experience with databases relational and NoSQL such as PostgreSQL MySQL or MongoDB Familiar with CI CD pipelines version control systems Git and containerization tools Docker Kubernetes is a plus Understanding of RESTful web services JSON and API security best practices Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field Experience working in agile development environments Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools is a plus Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
