Associate Professor - Analytics

SOIL's School of Business Design (SOBD), a premier AICTE approved Business School, is a bold and radical initiative that reimagines management education in India. Representatives from over 30 companies from diverse sectors, their customers, and students have collaborated to build a one-of-a-kind experiential curriculum that blends design and management for the first time in India.

Location:

This role will be based out of SOBD, Manesar and would require flexibility to travel to Gurgaon Campus (SOIL) when required.

Reporting:

The Associate Professor, Analytics would report into the Associate Dean at SOBD

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching Excellence:

- Design, develop, and deliver engaging and rigorous courses in Business Analytics
- Courses may include, but are not limited to:

1.1 Statistics, Optimization, Business Research Methods, Economics

1.2 Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI,

1.3 Python, R, SQL, Power BI, SDLC(through agile Technology)

1. Mentoring Students:

- Mentor and advise students on academic and career pathways

1. Research Leadership:

- Conduct high-quality, impactful research in Business Analytics and related areas, leading to publications in top academic journals
- Actively seek and secure external research funding through grants, collaborations with industry, and other competitive sources

Qualification/Skills Required:

1. An earned Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree (Economics, Maths, Statistics, Computer Science)
2. A minimum of 6 years total experience in teaching, research, or industry, of which at least 2 years must be post-Ph.D
3. A demonstrated track record of scholarly research
4. At least 6 research publications in SCI/SCIE or UGC/AICTE-approved journals
5. Prior industry experience in an analytics-related role is a significant advantage
