Job Title Technology Leader TempRite India About Lubrizol The Lubrizol Corporation a Berkshire Hathaway company is a specialty chemical company whose science delivers sustainable solutions to advance mobility improve wellbeing and enhance modern life Founded in 1928 Lubrizol owns and operates more than 100 manufacturing facilities sales and technical offices around the world and has about 8 000 employees For more information visit www Lubrizol com We value diversity in professional backgrounds and life experiences By enabling a consistent unbiased and transparent recruitment process Lubrizol seeks to create a positive experience for candidates so we can get to know them at their best We recognise unique work and life situations and offer flexibility ensuring our employees feel engaged and fulfilled in every aspect of life Join Our Thriving Team at Lubrizol as TempRite TM Technology leader IMEA region Unleash Your Potential At Lubrizol we re transforming and looking for exceptional talent to join us on this journey If you are ready to join an international company with talent around the world and want to make a real impact we want you on our team What You ll Do As a Technology leader you will own and evolve IMEA technology roadmap aligned with TempRite s global strategy You will lead and drive Innovations for the TempRite TM business for IMEA region and coordinate globally with both technology and business leaders to drive growth and profitability You will develop CPVC products relevant for India the Middle East and Africa markets in pipe fire protection and industrial segments Coordinate with Manufacturing Process Technology Product Management and Procurement optimizing our raw material strategy and implementation to drive efficiency profitability and growth Actively engage with customers for specification and technical service activities to drive growth In alignment with business strategy develop new emerging applications from concept to launch You will develop and foster close co-ordination with customer technical teams to understand market trends and corresponding customer expectations to drive specification and new product development Represent TempRite TM Technology at key customer events conferences standards bodies and industry panels Understand various industry standards and work with regional standard setting bodies to drive industry growth and safety As a Technology Leader you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient laboratory operations within the TempRite TM CPVC research and development facility in the region Your role will be crucial in driving innovation optimizing lab processes and maintaining a safe and productive work environment You will lead and develop a team of scientists and technicians to ensure the efficient and effective execution of research projects laboratory operation and testing processes Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the R D labs encouraging creative thinking problem-solving and high technical standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers engineers and sales representatives to understand market needs and translate them into viable customer solutions Partner with product stewardship and HSE to assess and manage product risks safety data and compliance documentation Requirements education experience competencies and specific job requirements Ph D in Chemistry or Engineering chemical or polymer or M S in Chemistry or Engineering with significant industry experience 5 years experience leading Innovation Technology or R D teams in similar industry 10 Year experience in polymer industry PVC CPVC preferred or plastic piping industry Working expertise in engineering thermoplastics including injection molding pipe profile sheet foam extrusion thermoplastic material characterization mechanical testing thermoplastic formulation and thermoplastic piping experience in PVC CPVC preferred Proven track record of impactful business results from product innovation and manufacturing optimization Demonstrated history of collaboration across regions and business functions to deliver business impact Proven track record of developing and growing teams and individual talent Knowledge of relevant international and regional standards and approval agencies Examples include ASTM American Society for Testing and Materials BIS Bureau of Indian Standards ISO International Organization of Standardization NSF Job Segment R D Engineer Chemical Engineer Materials Science Chemical Research Facilities Engineering Science Operations
