This is a position with grade 15 This position reports to Procurement Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will be ensure for purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team. The work model for the role is #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion business for System Drives division in Nelamangala -Bangalore. You will be mainly responsible for: • Project procurement – Many RFQs Pursuits at a time, long conversion time, Long gestation projects • Timeline based activities (Short and quick turnaround time for budgetary quotes) • Continual iteration of Approved vendor list and constant new vendor development for maintaining Balance in Value chain as well as reduction of Cost/Increasing value • Supplier Identification and partnering for optimized cost(Add-on) • Total Cost of Ownership, Cost breakdown and Cost Control • Supplier Qualification and Auditing • Constant Lookout for Volume based reductions • Sales support for new requirements for specific ETO projects Qualifications for the role - Educational/Skill Requirements: - Requires a BE/Diploma in Electrical, Electrical and Electronics engineering. - Prefer 4-8 years of related work experience (preferably in Drive panels. Low Voltage and Medium voltage, Transformers, motors) - Strong experience in Supplier development work related SCM activities - Expertise in commercial aspects of contract management including taxations - Should have good knowledge of Transformers, Motors - Logistics knowledge (Imports/Exports) added advantage - Knowledge on ERP (SAP preferably ) for Purchasing transactions. - Strong Negotiation skills, contract and cost management for Project/Product/Service and Capex More about us "ABB System Drives is the market leader in high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial process and large infrastructure applications, and a leading supplier of power conversion equipment for renewable energy and other applications.
