Job Description

Position: Assistant Professor Pattern Making

Department: Fashion Design / School of Fashion & Design

Location: Noida Sec 5

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach courses related to Pattern Making, Draping, Garment Construction, and CAD to fashion design students.
- Develop lesson plans, course materials, and practical projects that align with industry standards.
- Conduct classroom and studio sessions, practical demonstrations, and workshops.
- Guide students in portfolio development, design projects, and final collections.
- Mentor students on research, internships, and career development.
- Stay updated with current trends in pattern technology, garment production, and fashion innovations.
- Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement of teaching methods.
- Participate in academic administration, student evaluation, and departmental activities.
- Collaborate with industry experts for guest lectures, seminars, and collaborative projects.
- Engage in research, publications, and knowledge-sharing within the field of fashion design.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Masters Degree in Fashion Design / Pattern Making / Garment Technology from a recognized institution (Ph.D. preferred for higher positions).
- Strong academic background with specialization in Pattern Making, Draping, Garment Construction, and Apparel CAD Software (e.g., Lectra, Gerber, Optitex, Tukatech).
- Minimum [25 years] of teaching and/or industry experience in pattern making and garment development.
- Ability to demonstrate technical expertise and innovative teaching practices.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- Strong research orientation and ability to publish in reputed journals (preferred).
