Overview
The IB EYP Homeroom Teacher plays a crucial role in shaping young minds during their formative years at our institution in Jaipur. This position is vital in delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Early Years Programme (EYP), emphasizing a holistic approach to education. The teacher will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning among students aged 3 to 6 years. By implementing the IB philosophy, the Homeroom Teacher will not only focus on academic growth but also on developing social and emotional skills. This role requires a commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with peers and parents to enhance educational experiences. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant educational community that prioritizes student-centered learning and innovative teaching practices, supporting individual learners unique needs and potentials.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB EYP framework.
- Create a developmentally appropriate and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress through observations and assessments.
- Implement play-based learning strategies to facilitate holistic development.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
- Incorporate diverse resources and technology into the curriculum.
- Promote social-emotional learning and conflict resolution skills.
- Collaborate with the school community to organize extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and development.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- IB teaching certification or willingness to obtain it.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching young children in an early years setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and educational best practices.
- Experience with project-based and inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
- Experience in an international or IB school setting preferred.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive classroom.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing classroom dynamics.
- Proficiency in using educational technology.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Knowledge of assessment strategies appropriate for early years.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Hindi is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
