Job Overview The Executive - Counter Sales Retail in a mobile retail shop is responsible for engaging directly with customers, showcasing mobile phones, accessories, and related products, and driving sales within the store. This role demands a customer-first approach, excellent communication skills, and in-depth product knowledge. The role is entirely shop-based, requiring the executive to be present at the retail counter during working hours, handle walk-in customers, explain features of different products, and help them make informed purchasing decisions.Key Responsibilities1. Sales and Customer Interaction Welcome and attend to walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner. Understand customer needs and recommend suitable mobile phones, accessories, or service plans. Conduct product demonstrations by explaining key features, specifications, and benefits. Assist customers in comparing models, prices, and offers to influence buying decisions. Convert inquiries into successful sales while achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. 2. Product Knowledge and Display Management Maintain updated knowledge of all products, including mobile phones, tablets, gadgets, and accessories. Stay informed about the latest launches, promotions, discounts, and warranty policies. Ensure the shop display and counters are organized, clean, and visually attractive. Regularly update product labels, price tags, and promotional signage. 3. Billing and Cash Handling Prepare invoices and ensure accurate billing for each customer. Handle cash transactions, digital payments, and credit card transactions responsibly. Maintain daily sales records and reconcile with accounts at closing time. 4. Customer Service and After-Sales Support Provide customers with details of warranties, return policies, and exchange procedures. Assist customers in activating their devices or setting up basic functions when required. Address complaints or issues politely and resolve them with efficiency. Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat purchases and referrals. 5. Team and Shop Coordination Work closely with shop managers and fellow staff to meet overall sales objectives. Share feedback from customers regarding product demand, pricing, and promotions.
