Role Purpose To ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial data by performing timely and effective balance sheet reconciliations. The role is critical in maintaining financial control and compliance with accounting standards by identifying discrepancies, resolving variances, and supporting balance sheet accounts validation process. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reconciliation processes, ensure alignment with internal policies, and contribute to the overall reliability of financial reporting. Designation: Band 3 Accounting and Reconciliation - GSC Base Location: Navi Mumbai Reporting to: EUR Finance Leader & GSC Functional Leader Key Role Responsibilities - Deliverables - Review Balance Sheet thoroughly & understand nature of each GL account. - Prepare schedules of Balance Sheet GL's for review in the relevant Template given by team & cleansing of old items. - Review & prepare reclassification or rectification entries. - Maintain ageing of Balance Sheet GL accounts. - Review of Schedules with the respective Team on regular basis. - Ownership of the Balance Sheet accounts - Reconcile accounts, substantiating, resolving discrepancies and collaborating across various Finance and non-Finance functions effectively - Monitoring Teams work on regular basis. - Stakeholder Management - Establish good connect with Country / Regional Finance Teams - Ensure delivery at committed schedules & quality - Demonstrate Leadership skills. - Process Management - Establish clear process maps - Document the process and update learnings on continuous basis - Identify opportunities to enhance process effectiveness - Implement best practices - Others - Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the Organization and its business partners. - Any other responsibility/task; not limited to the above-mentioned tasks, that may be assigned from time to time in view of the job requirements. Skills & Competencies - Experience in Balance sheet reconciliations - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. - Ability to work well in a team environment while also being able to handle individual tasks effectively. - Proficiency with accounting software SAP ECC, Oracle and MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Effective communication and problem-solving skills to manage customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information - Demonstrated ability to accurately prepare and maintain schedules - Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information and preparing schedules - Good knowledge of accounting systems, and internal controls - Willingness to work in shifts Education & Qualifications - Preferred Qualified B.
