Industrial Security Guard

The Industrial Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees visitors and property within an industrial facility This role involves monitoring security systems patrolling premises controlling access and responding to emergencies to ensure safety and compliance with company policies and legal regulations Key Responsibilities Patrol and Monitor Regularly patrol the premises to ensure the safety of employees visitors and equipment Monitor and report on potential security breaches or hazards Observe areas such as loading docks entrances warehouses and other sensitive locations Access Control Screen and verify employee and visitor identification at access points Monitor and control the entry and exit of personnel vehicles and deliveries Issue and retrieve visitor passes as required Surveillance Monitoring Operate and monitor surveillance systems CCTV for unusual activities Ensure that security equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions Incident Response Respond quickly and appropriately to security incidents alarms or disturbances Investigate suspicious activities and report incidents to supervisors or law enforcement when necessary Assist in evacuations or other emergency procedures if needed Documentation and Reporting Maintain logs of daily activities including inspections incidents and irregularities Write detailed reports for any security breaches accidents or security-related incidents Safety and Compliance Ensure that all security policies and procedures are adhered to including emergency protocols Identify and report safety hazards such as equipment malfunctions or unsafe work conditions Conduct routine safety checks to ensure that fire exits alarms and emergency equipment are functional Customer Service Provide a professional approachable presence to staff visitors and contractors Answer questions direct visitors and offer assistance in a courteous manner Collaboration and Teamwork Work in collaboration with other security staff facility managers and law enforcement when required Participate in training sessions and drills to ensure readiness for emergency situations Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in industrial security law enforcement or military is preferred Basic knowledge of security systems surveillance equipment and access control technology Ability to write clear and concise reports Strong observational skills and attention to detail Good physical condition and ability to stand or walk for extended periods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations Ability to work independently or as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 pounds e g equipment barriers Ability to patrol large areas and remain on foot for long periods of time Must be able to sit stand or walk for extended periods Ability to work in varying environmental conditions e g heat cold rain Preferred Qualifications Certification in industrial security or law enforcement training First Aid CPR certified Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulations Work Schedule The position may require flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays Rotating shifts may be required depending on the size and needs of the facility Compensation Salary or hourly rate based on experience and location Benefits package may include health insurance retirement plans and paid time off Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 16 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Health insurance Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Supplemental Pay Overtime pay Work Location In person
