Description At Amazon we re working to be the world s most customer-centric company Driving innovation on behalf of customers is core to our mission This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most strategic impactful and fastest growing areas within Amazon This role requires one to be a self-starter with good business modeling skills keen attention to detail and good track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders This role has regular interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders across Amazon and requires good verbal and written communication skills The candidate will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on performance The candidate will need to have a proven track record for hiring developing and retaining the best talent Key job responsibilities Lead key projects in Talent Management and Organization Development for senior management in the Finance Ops business Provide professional expertise and support the team in the design development and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent Drive performance management career development and succession planning for team members Own and Facilitate leadership programs corporate plus custom programs for businesses across cross geo sites Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of talent management and org development activities in relation to business goals on an ongoing basis Create and implement the LD strategy and annual roadmap for Finance stakeholders Collect analyze and report to stakeholders meaningful LD metrics Exhibit superior communication skills including interpersonal communication written communications and classroom and virtual facilitation skills Demonstrate good business and HR acumen including good problem-solving skills critical thinking and a willingness to be vocally self-critical Basic Qualifications - 8 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience - 3 years of advanced proficiency in Excel pivots lookups etc experience - 6 years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience - 6 years of applying key financial performance indicators KPIs to analyses experience - 6 years of building financial and operational reports data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 5 years of directly managing and leading a team of 5 members experience Preferred Qualifications - 6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating implementing an escalation plan experience - 6 years of mentoring junior finance and or business team members experience - 3 years of working with senior staff e g c-suite experience - MBA or CPA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools i e SQL MSAccess Essbase or Cognos and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
