AXISCO-174679-L BIU Data Engineer INTERNAL USAGE No of Vacancies 1 Reports to Is a Team leader Y Team Size 8-10 Grade DVP Business BIU Department BIU Sub-Department Data Governance Location Mumbai About BIU Axis Bank s BIU This is a high profile team with a mandate to drive data based decisions within the bank Reporting in to Head Banking Operations and Transformation this department works with all businesses of the bank including retail small business and corporate to drive analytics In terms of functions the department has teams focused on all aspects of analytics for the bank including risk analytics financial crime analytics business and marketing analytics building predictive scores data engineering and business reporting About the Role Establish and govern an enterprise-wide data governance data quality and data management roadmap Key Responsibilities Create and maintain a data governance framework DG policies and process with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards principles governance metrics processes related tools and data architecture Align data management practices with regulatory requirements Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards data protection data privacy standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise Serve as the technical lead to enable the DG tools across the business units Qualifications Post-graduation or B Tech M Tech Role Proficiencies Minimum 15 years of Experience in Data governance role in a major organization Financial domain preferred with large-scale data project management and oversight experience A good understanding of information management practices including information lifecycle management data modeling master data management Data protection and privacy standards Expert in using data governance tools and technologies such as Informatica EDC IDQ Analyst Axon Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trend and issue Collaborating with leadership across the organization to identify business needs and implement Data Governance and Data Stewardship capabilities Strong background and working knowledge of data quality improvements Strong communicator at the technical levels Skills Refer to the About Company Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India The Bank offers the entire spectrum of financial services to customer segments covering Large and Mid-Corporates MSME Agriculture and Retail Businesses The Bank has a large footprint of 4 594 domestic branches including extension counters with 11 333 ATMs 5 710 cash recyclers spread across the country as on 31st March 2021 The Bank has 6 Virtual Centres and has over 1500 Virtual Relationship Managers as on 31st March 2021 The Overseas operations of the Bank are spread over eight international offices with branches at Singapore Dubai at DIFC and Gift City-IBU representative offices at Dhaka Dubai Abu Dhabi Sharjah and an Overseas subsidiary at London UK The international offices focus on Corporate Lending Trade Finance Syndication Investment Banking and Liability Businesses
