Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Record Keeping: Maintain and update the general ledger, record all financial transactions, and ensure accurate, up-to-date financial records. Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, process invoices, and issue payments. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements, and compile balance sheets. Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Compliance: Help ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies. Payroll: Assist with processing payroll and calculating payroll taxes. Audit Support: Aid in internal and external audits and provide documentation as needed. Support: Support senior accountants and finance managers with various accounting projects and tasks. Key Requirements & SkillsEducation: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required. Experience: Some prior experience in an accounting role or working with large accounting firms is often preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), Microsoft Excel, and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is essential. Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is critical for this role. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills are needed to handle multiple tasks. Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills are important for collaborating with colleagues and other departments. Confidentiality: The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information is a must.
