Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer (SAP ECC ABAP Dev) with a profound understanding of development on SAP ECC and the upcoming S4HANA transition. You will be a key part of a team working in a DevOps model, taking full responsibility for both development and support. This role requires excellent ABAP-OO programming skills, experience with SAP MM, SD, & FI modules, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues throughout the development lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Development & Support: Take complete responsibility for development and support activities within the existing SAP ECC R3 system and the ongoing S4HANA transformation.
- Application Development: Develop sophisticated, company-specific applications in the SAP ERP and S/4HANA environments using ABAP-OO programming.
- Process Optimization: Optimize business processes and develop solutions for digitalization and harmonization in connection with relevant SAP systems.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP systems with third-party tools and platforms. Plan, create, and manage APIs such as RESTful or IDOC for effective communication between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- DevOps Lifecycle Management: Proactively identify and resolve issues in the DevOps lifecycle, including system errors, deployment failures, or configuration issues.
- Collaboration & Agile Methodology: Work closely with specialists to find valuable ideas for improvements. Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
- Maintenance & Performance: Perform regular maintenance of SAP systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and guidance to teams working on SAP landscapes.

Skills Required:

- Several years (4+) of hands-on experience in ABAP/-OO programming, specifically within SAP MM, SD, & FI modules.
- Experience in planning, creating, and managing APIs like RESTful or IDOC.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC and the S4HANA transition.
- Ability to optimize business processes and develop solutions for digitalization.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving issues in a DevOps environment.
- Experience with ticketing and project management tools such as GSN, JIRA, or Confluence is a plus.
- A proactive interest in staying updated on emerging SAP technologies and industry trends.

QUALIFICATION:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
