Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable automated test frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar technologies.
- Oversee the execution and analysis of automated test results to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, QA, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, define test strategies, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 5+ QA engineers, guiding them in best practices for automation, testing, and quality assurance.
- Drive the adoption of modern testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to continuously enhance the testing process and improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies for functional, regression, and performance testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Manage test data creation, maintenance, and optimization to support automated and manual testing efforts.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and driving initiatives to enhance overall product quality.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in automation and testing, and evaluate their applicability to ongoing projects.
Required Skills
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, including functional testing, test case creation, and execution.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, with expertise in tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of 5+ QA engineers, including task delegation, performance management, and mentorship.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with the Robot Framework using Python.
- Proficiency in version control systems like GitHub.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar platforms for continuous integration and deployment.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving shared goals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and deadlines.
Additional Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies and their application in testing processes.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and provide actionable solutions.
