Job Title: Language Expert – Arabic Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based Organization: Sound of the Sun (SOTS) Role Overview Sound of the Sun is hiring an Arabic Language Expert to support upcoming digital learning and content projects. The role requires excellent command over Arabic and English, with the ability to review, refine, and validate written and audio content for linguistic, cultural, and contextual accuracy. You will work closely with instructional designers, multimedia teams, and subject specialists to ensure high-quality language output across learning materials. Key Responsibilities Review and refine content written in Arabic to ensure clarity, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness Validate translations between English and Arabic for meaning, terminology, tone, and consistency Ensure the correct use of industry-specific vocabulary, especially in finance, banking, economics, and general educational content Review scripts, captions, on-screen text, voiceover copy, and other learning content Work with the content and design teams to provide linguistic guidance during development Identify errors, inconsistencies, and areas requiring revision Provide feedback to improve readability, flow, and learner comprehension Ensure alignment with the required language quality standards Required Qualifications Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking) Strong command over English Experience working as a language expert, translator, reviewer, or linguist Familiarity with educational, academic, or professional content review Ability to work with tight timelines and structured review cycles Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience reviewing or translating content related to Islamic Finance, Banking, or Economics Experience with voiceover scripts or multimedia-based content Understanding of localization and dual-language content development Previous work with learning materials, training content, or digital media
