GIS Expert

Job Description GIS Expert GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (GVK EMRI) is looking for a skilled GIS Expert to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing software modules, custom GIS tools, and web-enabled GIS applications. You'll also be responsible for maintaining and updating critical GIS data layers for the state. Role & Responsibilities: - Develop software modules, custom software tools, and GIS software using required development languages (such as C, C#, C++, VB Script, Python, and the like). - Utilize SQL, PostgreSQL, and other databases. - Develop Web-enabled GIS modules using Open Source/COTS platforms such as Geo server, Open Layers, ARC Geo Server, Apollo Smart Suite, etc. - Update the GIS Data and layers of the state (POIs, Roads, Boundaries, Nodal Points, etc.). - Contribute to technical-design documentation. - Build and deploy packages as and when required.
