Your Role

As a Datacom Developer, you will be responsible for developing and automating Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols for Ethernet-based systems. You will work on virtual router environments, protocol stacks, and automation frameworks to deliver robust and scalable networking solutions.

In this role, you will:

- Design and implement L2/L3 protocols such as STP, RSTP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
- Develop and test networking features in virtual router environments like SONiC VM or Cisco VM.
- Automate networking workflows and test cases using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate protocol implementations.
- Optimize protocol performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Your Profile

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in networking protocol development.
- Strong hands-on experience with L2/L3 protocol stacks and Ethernet technologies.
- Proficiency in C (primary) and C++ (secondary) programming languages.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments.
- Familiarity with virtualized networking platforms such as SONiC VM or Cisco VM.
- Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and tooling.
- Knowledge of network architecture, routing, and switching fundamentals.
