Job Description - The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant mechanical engineering experiences and skills in the dams and hydro sector, and who has a good understanding of how the various disciplines within the sector come together to create an integrated solution. - Our roles on projects include traditional advisory, Owner s Engineer, client facing concept design, contractor facing detailed design, remediation and troubleshooting, installation support and Lender s engineer / insurance / due diligence support. - This role will be a key role as Mechanical technical lead to co-ordinate mechanical hydro design work between Stantec regional global offices (primarily Stantec UK) and Pune office. Support project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, and other stakeholders by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC expectations. You will help develop the team by acting as a mentor or guide to less experienced members. - This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about sustainable energy and eager to make a significant impact in the industry. Key Accountabilities: - Knowledge of international Codes and Standards in dams and hydro - mechanical - Producing technical specifications, designs, and reports. - Optioneering, outline and detail design relating to hydro and dams. - Power & energy calculations, mechanical schedules - Integrating closely with associated disciplines for collaborative reviews and designs of solutions. - Preparation of Bill of Quantities - Guiding Engineering/ CAD team for quality delivery - Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management, - Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally.
