Job Description About PlayHaus PlayHaus is a new kind of proximity-based networking app designed to connect people nearby in real time. Our MVP is already in motion, and we're looking for a Full Stack Developer who can own both the frontend (mobile) and backend (APIs & infrastructure) as we push toward launch. Your Role - Build and refine the PlayHaus mobile app (UI/UX) with React Native or Flutter. - Design and implement the backend (APIs, database, authentication, real-time services). - Integrate location services (Google Maps API, geofencing, Bluetooth proximity if possible). - Implement real-time features like messaging and presence indicators. - Ensure smooth performance across iOS + Android. - Optimize for scalability, speed, and data security. - Collaborate directly with the founder to shape features and roadmap. Requirements - Proficiency with React Native (preferred) or Flutter for cross-platform app dev. - Backend experience with Node.js, Express, Firebase, or similar stack. - Knowledge of databases (Firebase, MongoDB, PostgreSQL). - Experience with real-time communication (WebSockets, Firebase RTDB, GraphQL subscriptions). - Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and data security. - Ability to own projects end-to-end and work independently. Nice-to-Haves - Prior experience building social, dating, or location-based apps. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Firebase). - Deployment experience (App Store + Google Play).
