Core Purpose of Role The core purpose of the homeroom teacher role is to enable students to learn effectively and to provide support for the academic and pastoral needs of the students. The teacher should always support the aims and values of the school. Essential Skills Strong understanding of the IB PYP framework, inquiry-based learning, and concept-driven curriculum. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
