Lead Software Engineer

Job Title: Lead Software Engineer – Hospitality SaaS Location: Bangalore, India About Us: LUCID IT SOLUTIONS PVT LTD is a fast-growing technology company specializing in innovative software solutions for the hospitality industry. Our SaaS platform empowers hotels, restaurants, and bars to manage operations, inventory, reservations, and customer engagement efficiently. We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of our next-generation Hospitality SaaS application. Role Overview: As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of our cloud-based hospitality platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to build a scalable, secure, and high-performance application that meets the unique needs of hotels and restaurants. You will also mentor and guide junior developers, establish best practices, and ensure code quality and maintainability. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end development of our Hospitality SaaS application, including architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or similar). - Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support application functionality and integrations (POS systems, online ordering platforms, payment gateways, etc.). - Implement data storage solutions, including relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached). - Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines. - Mentor, guide, and support junior and mid-level developers in adopting best practices and modern development methodologies. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually improve the platform. Required Skills & Experience: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 6+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior engineering role. - Strong expertise in backend development using languages such as Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or similar. - Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) for building interactive web applications. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architecture. - Deep understanding of database design, indexing, optimization, and query performance (PostgreSQL preferred). - Knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and caching strategies. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automated testing. - Experience in SaaS application development, preferably in hospitality, retail, or inventory management domains. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferred: - Experience integrating SaaS platforms with third-party services (online ordering, POS, payment systems). - Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools for hospitality dashboards. - Exposure to AI/ML-enabled features in SaaS applications.
