About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Software Tester with expertise in manual and automation testing to ensure the quality of our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and executing test strategies, strong knowledge of automation tools, and the ability to lead and mentor a QA team.

This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual & automation).
- Design, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks for web (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and mobile (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
- Ensure cross-platform testing on Android, iOS, and multiple web browsers.
- Collaborate with development and product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Manage the defect lifecycle: logging, triaging, tracking, and closure.
- Perform API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
- Define and monitor QA metrics (coverage, defect density, automation %).
- Advocate best practices in testing, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in software testing with at least 1–2 years in a lead role.
- Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools: Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit.
- Experience in mobile application testing (Android & iOS).
- Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of SQL/database testing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Good to Have

- Knowledge of AWS services (advantageous).
- Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
- Experience in cloud-based testing platforms
- Understanding of security testing practices.
