SAP BO Senior Consultant

Job Description As a Senior SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using SAP BO tools. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. Responsibilities - Design and develop Business Intelligence solutions using SAP BO tools (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Lumira, Analysis for Office). - Create and manage universes using the Information Design Tool (IDT) or Universe Design Tool (UDT). - Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and consistency. - Work closely with business users to gather and analyze reporting and dashboard requirements. - Translate business needs into technical specifications and propose effective BI solutions. - Provide expert recommendations on data visualization and analytics best practices. - Install, configure, and maintain the SAP BO platform (SAP BI 4.x). - Ensure seamless integration of SAP BO with underlying databases (e.g., SAP HANA, BW, SQL Server, Oracle). - Conduct testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to validate solutions. - Perform platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. - Manage upgrades, patches, and migrations of the SAP BO environment. - Provide L2/L3 support and resolve technical issues related to SAP BO. - Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and best practices. Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor s Degree IT or equivalent 6 to 8 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects tool. - At least two full life cycle SAP BW implementation and at least one with BI 7.x experience (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live). - Ability to use Service Marketplace to create tickets, research notes, review release notes and solution roadmaps as well as provide guidance to customers on release strategy. - Strong expertise in report development (WebI, Crystal Reports) and universe creation. - Proficiency in SAP BO server administration and platform management. - Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, SAP HANA, BW). - Familiarity with integrating SAP BO with other SAP or non-SAP systems. - SAP Certified Application Associate - Business Intelligence. - Knowledge of advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a bonus. - Understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or future BO migration strategies is a plus. - Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for custom solutions is preferred. - Certification in SAP HANA or SAP BW would be an advantage.
