JD –Supplier quality assurance

Position: Sr. Engineer/ Asst Manager SQA (Mechanical)

Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma (Mech)

Experience: 5 to 12 yrs.

Preferred Industry exposure: Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier or Product based manufacturing company.

Skills & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible to support and establish Quality assurance at supplier, in house assembly line.

2. Identification of tools for process control, Jig fixture and gauge requirement.

3. Good hands-on for part inspection using various instruments.

4. Experience of PFMEA, PFD, Line design, Process control, control plan.

5. Experienced in development of parts for manufacturing processes like Sheet metal fabrication, welding, sheet metal tooling, Injection moulding tool and moulding process, Rubber compression moulding, High pressure die casting – Zinc and Aluminium, machining, Electro-plating, powder coating etc.

6. Development of vehicle chassis, frame, body panels, battery holders, casing, enclosures, body panel, NEMA enclosure etc.

7. Understanding of Mech-Electrical-Electronics interface.

8. Well versed with Sheetmetal and plastic part design.

9. Excellent in interpreting engineering drawings, critical parameter, dimensions, tolerances, finish, part fitment test etc.

10. Closely work with mechanical design team, electronics / hardware team, procurement team, manufacturing team, validation, suppliers to enable concurrent engineering.

11. Well versed with PPAP, IATF (APQP)(stage-gate process) for development.

12. Excellent communication skills to effectively transfer technical, progress information to various stakeholders.

13. Prepare and present weekly update, the progress of all running products to stakeholders.

14. Own time-plan and its progress to ensure beforetime or on time delivery with agreed quality.

15. Ability to deliver product quality in line with business need.

16. Good interpersonal skill and a good team player.

Note: This position may require travelling up to 70%.
