We’re currently assisting one of our clients—a fast-growing quantitative trading and investment management firm—in hiring for a Quantitative Trader role to join the Mumbai team. The firm has made significant progress in the field of quantitative investments, actively contributing to the growth of the quant ecosystem in India. With an operational SEBI-registered Category III Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), the firm focuses on systematic wealth creation through research-driven strategies and cutting-edge technology. Currently in a high-growth phase, the firm combines the agility of a startup with the robustness of a regulated investment platform. Role Overview The Quantitative Trader will design, develop, and deploy fully automated medium-frequency trading strategies with short to moderate holding periods and high sharpe. The role requires hands-on involvement in quantitative research, backtesting, and live strategy management, supported by strong in-house data and execution infrastructure. Key Responsibilities ● Research, design, and implement systematic and medium-frequency trading strategies across multiple asset classes and exchanges. ● Develop alpha-seeking models using quantitative and statistical methods. ● Backtest and validate strategies using large-scale datasets. ● Optimize execution, monitor live trading performance, and manage risk. ● Collaborate with research and engineering teams to improve systems and explore new opportunities. Requirements ● Minimum 2 years of live trading experience with proven profitability. ● Proficiency in C, C++, and Python. ● IIT, IIIT, BITS, or NIT Alumni ● Experience with medium-frequency or intraday trading strategies preferred ● Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ● Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field. ● Entrepreneurial, research-driven mindset with attention to detail. ● Operate in a high-ownership environment, where your work directly impacts capital allocation, trading decisions, and long-term fund performance. ● Thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven culture that values transparency, experimentation, and continuous learning.
