We're seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities 1. Bookkeeping & Ledger Management Maintain and update day-to-day financial transactions accurately. Record journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Ensure all financial data is recorded in a timely and accurate manner. 2. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization. Provide financial reports and insights to management for strategic decision-making. 3. Reconciliation & Audits Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts regularly. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and explanations. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. 4. Taxation & Compliance Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory tax returns as applicable. Ensure timely payments of taxes, statutory dues, and government contributions. Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and implement them in financial records. 5. Payroll & Employee Reimbursements Assist in preparing employee payroll and ensure accurate calculation of salaries, deductions, and reimbursements. Maintain payroll records and handle salary-related queries. Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements related to payroll. 6. Budgeting & Cost Control Assist management in budgeting and forecasting processes. Monitor expenses and suggest cost-saving measures. Track budget vs. actuals and highlight variances for management review. 7. Coordination & Documentation Coordinate with banks, vendors, clients, and internal departments for financial transactions. Maintain proper documentation of all financial records for audit and reference. Ensure systematic filing and retrieval of accounting documents. Skills and Competencies Core Skills Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial management. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar). Ability to prepare, interpret, and analyze financial statements. Accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data. Behavioral & Personal Skills Integrity & Confidentiality: Handle financial information with discretion. Analytical Thinking: Analyze financial data to identify trends or discrepancies. Time Management: Meet deadlines for reporting, compliance, and reconciliations. Problem-Solving: Resolve accounting discrepancies and financial queries efficiently. Communication Skills: Present financial information clearly to management and team members. Technical Competencies Advanced MS Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other taxation laws. Understanding of financial regulations and statutory compliance.
