JOB REQUISITES Role Summary As a Senior Engineer - Highway Drainage you ll have experience in the Highways Sector to join our UK iCRC Roads team in Noida Bengaluru The role offers excellent diversified opportunities for a candidate seeking to progress their career and looking for experience training and support with their development and future career progression The successful candidate will have experience in leading the development and delivery of integral part of highways and highway drainage projects through various stages of the design process from feasibility to planning detailed design and onto construction Responsibilities You will be working and supporting a range of highways schemes associated with highway drainage elements You will be responsible for producing highway engineering designs and construction drawings independently for various UK schemes using the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and other relevant standards You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time The position will also involve internal client liaison assisting in the preparation of fee proposals recruitments and financial control of projects when acting as a package manager You will coordinate inputs and outputs with other disciplines to produce an integrated design You will guide and mentor junior team members to broaden and deepen their understanding of a subject to suit with the client requirements You will be responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered to the budget programme and technical standards and meet QA CDM Sustainability and HSE requirements Beyond qualifications and experience the key candidate attributes we look for are the ability to solve problems build constructive relationships and a desire to continually improve We will provide you with the right environment and opportunities to develop as a senior engineer and support your personal development Your work may require travel within the UK when needed Key Competencies Skills Mandatory Skills You should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of and experience of UK highway drainage including knowledge on SUDS features Technical competency in Highway drainage Storm water drainage as per UK standards Preparation of Highway drainage methodologies and design basis statements Preparation of Technical notes covering through Highway drainage specifications Mentoring and technical support to CAD and engineers to develop general arrangement drawings standard drawings You will be able to use the relevant design software such as Civil 3D Micro Drainage CausewayFlow NavisWorks AutoCAD and ProjectWise Proficient in use of National Highways -UK common data environment like GeoStore AVIS HADDMS etc Lead and attend design review meetings and progress meetings with Clients Proficient in use of standard MS Office software Confidence to seek clarification of instructions and work scope Able to liaise as necessary with the UK project team to deliver the schemes projects You will be quick to pick up new ideas and skills and be able to think laterally to generate new solutions to problems Good written and verbal communication skillsPreparation of Development Drainage Strategies Proven track record of dealing with Clients and forging effective relationships in a professional and customer-focused manor Desired Skills Project Management and financial track with projects Project estimations and bid support strategies for resource management Highway drainage solutions application of SUDS MicroDrainage CausewayFlow software usage Familiarisation with DMRB and CIRIA standards Detailing support on general arrangement drawings and CAD supervision Knowledge on UK legislation and various sections of technical approvals CDM regulations and its application Quick in checking process and validate the designs models ensure the quality UK client interactions and plan through project delivery Qualifications and Experience B Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent with good length of relevant experience M Tech in Hydrualics Water Resources Engineering or equivalent will be given preference Minimum of 6 years of experience in Highway drainage and Storm water draianage Department 70535 - iCRC - T I - Roads UK Skills Required Highway Drainage Hydraulic modelling using Micro Drainage and CausewayFlow Specifications with UK standards Civil 3D Navis Works SUDS Storm water hydrualics Standard drawings Years Of Exp 7 to 12 Years Desirable Skills Highway Drainage Hydraulic modelling using Micro Drainage and CausewayFlow Specifications with UK standards Civil 3D Navis Works SUDS Storm water hydrualics Standard drawings micro drainage design of ponds basins Water quality for storm water DRMB draiange volumes Gullies CKDs slot drains hydrobrakes orifice controls Designation Senior Engineer - Highways
