Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Commodity Manager to join our Supply Chain Management team. This individual will play a key role in driving sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and achieving cost reduction goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in direct parts procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor management in the electronics and Hi-Tech industries.

Purpose of the Role:

- Establish best-in-class commercial terms related to quality, cost, delivery, technology, and sustainability.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through negotiation and alternate sourcing strategies.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term commodity strategies.
- Manage supplier relationships, lead business reviews, and oversee contracts and agreements.
- Serve as the escalation point for supply chain-related issues.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Supplier Management and Sourcing (30%):
- Review user requirements and gather necessary data.
- Float RFQs and summarize commercial terms through QCS.
- Lead negotiation strategies and business awards.
- Address supply issues as the primary point of contact.
- Conduct multi-sourcing for risk mitigation and cost reduction.
- Lead and manage supply agreements.
- Cost Management (20%):
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies.
- Conduct volumetric negotiations and identify strategic suppliers.
- Manage the end-to-end RFQ cycle for BOM items.
- Stakeholder Management (20%):
- Analyze stakeholder requirements and execute plans based on project needs.
- Report weekly, conduct program reviews, and develop technology roadmaps.
- Supplier Development and Performance (20%):
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Manage commodity spend, perform SWOT analysis, and supplier segmentation.
- Conduct quarterly/annual business reviews with key suppliers.
- Audit and Compliance (10%):
- Develop and implement SOPs to ensure system hygiene.
- Promote continuous improvement and governance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

- Education: Electronics/Electrical (Mandatory); Postgraduate degree (Preferred – MBA in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Imports & Exports Management, etc.).
- Certifications: Courses in Data Analytics, Problem Solving, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, CSCP, CPSM, etc.
- Experience: 12-15 years in procurement and supply chain management, including direct parts procurement and sourcing in electronics/Hi-Tech industries.

Required Skills:

- Behavioural: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Functional: Cost analysis, relationship management, and risk management.
- Technical: Proficiency in SCM tools, negotiation strategies, lean manufacturing techniques, and global procurement.

- Influence bottom-line results by reducing material costs.
