We're looking for a Mainframe Automation Engineer to: - develop and improve infrastructure services such as Mainframe - provide infrastructure services that are easy to consume and efficient to operate, making effective use of cloud capabilities (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) - apply a broad range of engineering practices, from analyzing requirements and developing new features to automated testing, deployment, and operations - ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements - build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues. - learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind Your team In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You'll be working in the MF Modernization team in Pune focusing on and you will interact with other Mainframe Engineering teams and the related Support teams in Basel/Zurich and Weehawken. Your expertise - master's degrees in Engineering & Technology or equivalent focusing on Mainframe - ideally 5 years of experience as infrastructure engineer focused on Mainframe Automation within the finance sector - strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing - fluent in English, German speaking skills very welcome and helpful - experience in IBM Parallel Sysplex technology - knowledge of z/OS Mainframes, in particular BMC AMI OPS software suite would be helpful - expert know how in TSO/E, REXX and Python would be appreciated - mastering the Microsoft Office palette (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) - production support skills in a high availability environment with strong customer service focus - be self-motivated and prepared to self-study to develop your skills going forward - KAFKA, database and restful API knowledge would be appreciated About Us UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
