Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in supporting data-driven decision-making by analyzing financial data, developing forecasts, and providing strategic insights. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, an understanding of business performance metrics, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and create actionable reports for management decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and provide insights.
- Perform profitability analysis on products, services, and business initiatives.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand cost drivers and revenue trends.
- Support strategic planning and evaluate investment opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare presentations and dashboards to communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.
- Provide support for internal and external audits, including documentation and data validation.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and conduct special analysis as requested by management.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data within financial reporting systems.
- Maintain proficiency in Google Sheets, and utilize QuickBooks Online (QBO) for financial operations.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (Master's degree or CPA/CFA is a plus).
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or related roles.
3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
4. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
