Skills and Competencies - 23 years of professional experience in software development. - Good knowledge of JavaScript, React.js, and modern front-end development practices. - Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including query optimization and database design. - Exposure to AI/ML concepts, tools, or frameworks (e.g., langchain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). - Familiarity with transformer-based models, LLMs, and generative AI. - Understanding of agentic workflows and their application in intelligent systems. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming. - Experience with large datasets, asynchronous/parallel programming and optimization - Knowledge of PostGIS and geospatial data handling. - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Understanding of data visualization tools and libraries. Education - Bachelor's/ master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for real-world applications. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML (e.g., transformers, LLMs, generative models). - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code. - Work with SQL Server for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. About The Team Our Data Analytics and Solutions (ESDB) team is responsible for developing property database products that allows insurers to fill property attribute values, correct inaccurate entries, and enhance submissions in their risk management workflows. The database integrates information from various sources such as tax records, high-resolution building data, predictive modelling, and specialty datasets. Key attributes in ESDB include number of stories, building area, year built, construction material, occupancy type, and other building characteristics. The database is continually enhanced using advanced techniques like LiDAR and machine learning to improve data quality and coverage. This product goes as backend with various under writing, exposure enrichment and CAT modelling solutions within Insurance BU.
