UEFA Champions League Roles Responsibilities As we continue to grow and innovate in a fast-paced highly-competitive digital environment we are seeking a Software Engineering MAnager who will be a key member of the WBD Global Sports Tech team responsible for building and maintaining systems supporting Warner Bros Discovery s family of Sports products brands including Eurosport NCAA MML and Bleacher Report You will work closely with product project managers users development staff and senior leadership to implement designs develop and deploy fan-facing solutions Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team fostering collaboration innovation growth and technical excellence while promoting continuous learning and career development Drive technical strategy and oversee the development of scalable high-performance mobile and connected device applications for WBD Sports applications Drive cross-functional collaboration to align engineering product and business teams for data-driven decision-making and streamlined product development Lead efforts to improve engineering workflows tooling and processes for operational excellence Implement and advocate for agile methodologies e g Scrum or Kanban and support continuous delivery practices Drive initiatives around monitoring application health infrastructure and code performance to ensure system reliability and optimal user experiences Drive innovation by adopting modern technologies optimizing architecture and ensuring long-term maintainability through code reviews and refactoring Actively participate in event planning and execution including rehearsals and live event support What to Bring Experience leading teams in fast-paced and complex environments B S in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field or equivalent experience 13-15 years of software development experience including 5 years in a technical leadership role Experience in web development including experience with React-based applications Knowledge of SEO principles and optimization of SEO performance metrics Experience with high-performance high-availability high-scale applications in production environments Demonstrated ability to lead mentor and inspire engineers to meet ambitious technical goals Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product design and business teams Fluency in English Bonus Skills Experience with the Next JS framework Experience with REST and GraphQL API backends Technical Environment Tech Stack TypeScript Node React NextJS Development Practices TDD pair programming code reviews continuous integration and delivery CI CD Deployment
