Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader focused on helping the world s manufacturers be more productive sustainable and agile With more than 28 000 employees who make the world better every day we know we have something special Behind our customers - amazing companies that help feed the world provide life-saving medicine on a global scale and focus on clean water and green mobility - our people are energized problem solvers that take pride in how the work we do changes the world for the better We welcome all makers forward thinkers and problem solvers who are looking for a place to do their best work And if that s you we would love to have you join us Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant - IoT with 8 years of experience who are passionate about the exciting world of digital technologies including the Internet of Things Big Data Advanced Analytics Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning You will assume the role of IoT Sr Technical Consultant for the Enterprise Technology Practice You will be based in Balewadi Pune and will work in hybrid You will report to the Manager Software Engineering As an IoT Sr Technical Consultant you will work in a client-facing role for an established global clientele helping them apply to lead ThingWorx IoT Advanced Analytics and Augmented Reality capabilities to challenging business problems Our focus is on helping clients extract business value from cutting-edge IoT capabilities not just on making the technology work In this role you will help design develop and test solutions for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Manufacturing Life Sciences High Tech Consumer Goods and Retail Requirements Degree in Computer Science Digital Systems Software Development or related Experience developing in Java C NET JavaScript SQL languages or related Competency in Oracle Database Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases 5 years of experience working with different platforms such as Windows Server and Linux 5 years of experience working with typical IT integration technologies REST SOAP batch queues 5 years of experience with ThingWorx IoT service and mashup development 3 years of experience with Data operations platforms like Cognite Data bricks is recommended 3 years of experience with advanced analytics and machine learning disciplines like model development training validation and deployment 3 years of experience integrating ThingWorx with Big Data platforms Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and identity management General knowledge of Agile and SDLC software development practices and technical documentation requirements functional specifications test plans etc Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions Ability to present technical solutions and lead demo sessions with stakeholders Management to help develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in Willingness to travel up to 25 Your Responsibilities Achieve a balance between meeting client obligations supporting their needs and being an ambassador for the firm Lead technical discussions to develop solutions for clients Contribute to develop client proposals Manage multiple workstreams of a project Communicate client expectations and feedback to engage the team Mentor junior developers and technical resources promote best practices related to digital technology SDLC and project delivery Implement validate and deploy the scalable and commercial ThingWorx IoT solutions in a client-facing setting Perform advanced system configuration and customization Design of software extensions and integrations using specific API s Manage data migrations Ensure quality of code by performing unit testing and code reviews Develop technical and functional specifications based on software design and performance Perform advanced installations of tools to support development Perform advanced system administrative functions Assist in the data model and the mapping definition Effective status reporting within their teams and with the clients Work with diverse and cross-cultural teams What We Offer Our benefits package includes Comprehensive mindfulness programs with a premium membership to Calm Volunteer Paid Time off available after 6 months of employment for eligible employees Company volunteer and donation matching program - Your volunteer hours or personal cash donations to an eligible charity can be matched with a charitable donation Employee Assistance Program Personalized wellbeing programs through our OnTrack program On-demand digital course library for professional development and other local benefits Hybrid LI-SS2 Rockwell Automation s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office
