Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market in accordance with the company's strategy. Your key objective will be to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets, ensuring order growth, revenue generation, profitability, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction. You will also be expected to build long-term customer relationships and manage customer needs effectively.
The work model for this role is: #LI - Onsite.
This role contributes to Process Automation in the Measurement and Analytics division within the Sales function in India (Instrumentation). Main stakeholders include customers across various industries.
You will be mainly accountable for:
• Selling products, systems, and services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for assigned divisions.
• Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand needs, promote ABB's offerings, and provide tailored solutions.
• Preparing and executing sales plans using company tools, including regular status reviews and potential recovery plans in case of shortfalls.
• Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when required.
• Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration.
• Ensuring efficient marketing activities and effectively communicating the value proposition to customers.
• Coordinating with the bid and proposal department to prepare offers and ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects, including pricing and trading conditions.
Qualifications for the role
- Proven experience in frontline sales of field instrumentation, sales enablement, general sales practices, and account management.
- Strong expertise in ABB's sales tools, including SFDC, SAP, and Pricing Wizards.
- 8–10 years of experience in frontline sales of field instrumentation products across industries such as pharma, power, cement, chemical, water, and more.
- Advanced skills in solution and application sales engineering, go-to-market strategy, and market intelligence.
- Passion for building strong customer relationships and ensuring compliance with safety and ethical standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
- Proficiency in English with strong communication skills.
