Job Description Job Title: Buying & Merchandising Executive Jewellery Location: Pune, Maharashtra (Office-based) About Palmonas Palmonas is a contemporary demi-fine jewellery brand focused on modern, high-quality, and everyday-wearable pieces. The company emphasizes design innovation and strong operational excellence across its retail and e-commerce channels. Role Overview The Buying & Merchandising Executive will support the end-to-end buying operations for the jewellery category. This includes vendor coordination, purchase order management, inventory tracking, and collaboration with design, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure optimal product availability and assortment. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding production timelines, order status, and delivery commitments. - Track and manage purchase orders from issuance to delivery, ensuring quality and deadline adherence. - Maintain and update inventory reports; monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. - Reconcile invoices, delivery notes, and pending orders to ensure data accuracy. - Support merchandising analysis, including sales vs. stock performance, reorder decisions, and product rationalization. - Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to align stock arrivals, storage, and dispatch. - Identify and report vendor or supply-chain issues proactively to minimize delays or quality concerns. - Assist in collection launches and coordinate with design and merchandising teams for product readiness. Candidate Profile / Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Jewellery Design/Management, or a related field. - 02 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or supply chain within retail, fashion, or jewellery sectors. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal coordination. - Proficiency in MS Excel and data handling for reporting and analysis. - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. - Analytical mindset with a passion for jewellery, fashion, and retail. - Knowledge of jewellery materials (metals, stones, manufacturing processes) is an added advantage.
