We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Bamboo Agronomist to join our team in India. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing sustainable bamboo farming practices, supporting local farmers, and contributing to research initiatives focused on bamboo cultivation.

Responsibilities

- Conduct research on bamboo cultivation practices and develop best management practices.
- Implement sustainable bamboo farming techniques to enhance productivity.
- Analyze soil and environmental conditions to recommend appropriate bamboo species.
- Provide training and support to local farmers on bamboo agronomy and pest management.
- Collaborate with agricultural researchers and institutions to promote bamboo as a viable crop.
- Monitor and evaluate bamboo growth and yield, and prepare reports on findings.

Skills and Qualifications

- 5-10 years of experience in agronomy or related fields, with a focus on bamboo or similar crops.
- Strong knowledge of bamboo species, their growth requirements, and pest management strategies.
- Experience in soil analysis and environmental impact assessments.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools relevant to agriculture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and collaboration with farmers and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
