Rail Engineer

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience and understanding of rail industrial development design, surface grading, Geometric design, Corridor modelling, underground services, utilities, drains etc.
- Preparation of Drawings for Rail Plan and profile, Typical section, Cross sections, Layout setting and General arrangement drawings.
- Perform Regression analysis.
- Experience in rail and roadway bridges/structures preferred but not required.
- Interference Check with other disciplines and resolution of Inter Disciplinary Clashes.
- Willing to advance in career by taking increased engineering design responsibilities by
- closely working with discipline lead engineer.
- A committed team player able to work on their own initiative.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good Communication skills (verbal written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
Tools:
- MicroStation or AutoCAD
- Open Rail, Open Roads, Inroads, Civil 3D
- Microsoft Office Tools - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Minimum
- 2 to 6 yearsof experience in preparing the drawings for civil works like rail, drains, excavation, grading etc.
- Working knowledge of design codes and standards used in Rail Engineering designs.
