A legacy of excellence driving innovation and personalized service to create exceptional customer experiences About H E ServicesAt H E Services vibrant tech Center in Hyderabad youll have the opportunity to contribute to technology innovation for Holman Automotive a leading American fleet management and automotive services company Our goal is to continue investing in people processes and facilities to ensure expansion in a way that allows us to support our customers and develop new tech solutions Holman has come a long way during its first 100 years in business The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing vehicle fabrication and up fitting component manufacturing and productivity solutions powertrain distribution and logistics services commercial and personal insurance and risk management and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States Join us and be part of a team that s transforming the way Holman operates creating a more efficient data-driven and customer-centric future Read more about us Principal Purpose of Position The CAD Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining complex 3D CAD models assemblies and the associated 2D drawings under moderate to heavy supervision It will entail updating our truck body designs and a substantial focus on generating Solidworks 2D manufacturing drawings with standardized features materials and methods This role will be assigned projects of moderate complexity and will work closely with the guidance of Design Engineering Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned Job Inputs Create new custom truck body and truck upfit accessory CAD models and assemblies with best practice modelling techniques Create and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings following our engineering drawing standards Create and maintain CAD file structures in Enterprise PDM utilizing the folder structure naming convention and BOM strategy defined in our Engineering standards Create simplified Sales Drawing layouts of new concepts for client approval Create and follow-up on Engineering drawing releases by working closely with Holman Manufacturing team members Communicate closely with Design Engineering Process Engineering Manufacturing Installation Operations and Purchasing Resolve design drawing and manufacturing issues in a timely manner Education and or Training Associates Degree in Technical Field such as CAD Design Engineering Technology Product Design or Manufacturing Technology preferred Equivalent work experience and skills are also acceptable Advanced level proficiency with Solid works or similar 3D CAD package Proficiency with Enterprise PDM or equivalent Product Data Management tool is preferred Proficiency with MS Word Excel and Power Point Must Have AutoCAD 3D Modeling 3D Model Enterprise PDM Product Data Management Solid works knowledge in sheet metal design Good To Have GD T Geometric design and tolerance- manufacturing drawings Relevant Work Experience Minimum of 3 years of work experience in 3D modeling design and manufacturing drawings is required Working knowledge of GD T fundamentals is preferred Experience in solid works in the past project or current project Experience designing for sheet metal and or fabrications is preferred Planning Organizing Managerial Knowledge Ranges from task-focused to integrating related functions to broadly strategic integration Proactive organized approach to multitasking and prioritization Effectively manages time and consistently meets deadlines with some guidance from manager Demonstrates accuracy thoroughness and effectiveness in work Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to doing quality work Adjusts quickly to new or changing assignments processes and people Displays professionalism and remains composed when faced with challenges Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems applies some degree of judgement and discretion Applies basic knowledge of theories practices and procedures to complete assigned work Communicating Influencing Skills Does the job require communication reasoning with others or changing behaviors Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to express information and ideas in a clear and organized manner Works independently or with others within own area or department to achieve team goals Offers support to other team members follows through on commitments Applies emotional intelligence in responses and reactions Demonstrates consistency between words and actions Listens openly and carefully to others ideas and suggestions respects opposing points of view Consistently earns trust loyalty and respect of other
